Workshop Summary:

Renowned for its education work, Springs Dance Company delivers outstanding workshops that specialise in cross-curricular dance, in particular with PSHE, Citizenship and Religious Education (RE).

We deliver creative, inspiring, fun and energetic workshops, assemblies and performances. Themes can be selected from one of our many workshop themes, or the focus and learning objective can be tailor-made especially for you. Our curriculum linked workshops can improve pupils mental health and well-being whilst supporting children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.

Some of our popular themes are:

Get Fit Go Green - Energetic, action-packed dance workshops that help children think about climate change.

The Selfish Giant - Creative dance workshops based on the story by Oscar Wilde, which focus on how the actions of the giant impact others, himself and the world around him.

Parable: The Good Samaritan - Pupils unpack the theme of helping and standing up for others, when the other might not be like you. The workshops touch sensitively on themes of living in a multi-racial/multi-religious society.

The workshops can be further adapted to suit your school or link more specifically to British Values, Literacy, PSHE or RE.

Please see our website or contact Springs Dance Company for a full list of workshops themes.

Additional Information:

Delivered by a team of world class, professional, dancers and teachers, we provide two workshop leaders to deliver the sessions and can work with up to 30 pupils at a time. The workshops we offer are tailored to meet the needs of the school and are structured specially for you. We can deliver workshops for up to 5/6 classes a day, work more intensively with a few classes, or we can stay for a longer residency and create a unique performance with your pupils.

The fee for a day of workshops is £400 plus travel.

Testimonials:

“Our children were challenged, both physically, mentally, and spiritually by their workshops. All the tasks were inclusive and we could see from the children’s faces how much they had developed over a short period of time.”
