Imagining History provides educational history workshops for primary schools that captivate and entertain. Our interactive sessions combine role-play, storytelling, demonstrations and drama and performance to bring history to life for your students.

Each of our extensively researched workshop themes, such as the Stone Age and Ancient Egypt, incorporate on-your-feet activities and high energy performance, allowing every single student to be involved and learn through doing.

Our Potty about Pots workshop is a full day workshop about creating three types of clay pots using air dry clay. Students are introduced to making a basic pinch pot, a slab rolled pot using clay joining techniques and a coil pot as well as how to create a lid using the techniques from earlier in the day.

Workshop Provided by Theatre Workshop

One of our experienced actors will arrive at your school with a pop up theatre experience. These fully interactive workshops have it all from hunting a woolly mammoth, kissing the toe of a pharaoh to being a chimney sweep.The pupils will be encouraged to participate in acting scenes from history.

Workshop Provided by Divergent Drama

Our KS1 and EYFS history workshops bring to life the subject with fully trained actors taking the children back in time to meet figures from history and take part in the events themselves. Popular workshops include: "The Titanic," "The Great Fire of London" and "Florence Nightingale."
